Vehicle Painter
This is an entry-level position within our manufacturing department where you will work as part of a team to prepare, paint and finish military vehicles and components.
About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces for painting, applying coatings, and ensuring high-quality finishes. You will also have opportunities to work on various projects across different divisions, including Vehicle Systems, Electronic Solutions, and Weapon & Ammunition Divisions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Certificate III in Surface Preparation and Coating Application or Certificate III in Automotive Refinishing Technology;
* Experience in a Vehicle, Defence, or other heavy industry Painting role;
* Working knowledge of Paint technologies and standards relating to vehicle painting;
* Heavy Vehicle driving and operating licences (desirable);
* High Risk Work Licences including crane operation, forklift, elevated work platforms (desirable);
* First Aid certificate (desirable);
* The ability to gain and hold the appropriate Australian Security Clearance (must be an Australian citizen).
