Assistant Company Secretary
The Assistant Company Secretary will play a key role in providing comprehensive legal and governance support to the Boards and Committees of Virgin Australia Group. This includes reviewing and enhancing governance frameworks, drafting and revising board materials, providing legal guidance on corporate matters, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Main Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the Head of Corporate Governance to develop and implement best practice governance processes.
* Coordinate and deliver the Annual General Meeting (AGM) for our ASX listed entity, ensuring all legal and regulatory requirements are met.
* Provide practical legal advice on governance matters in a business-focused manner.
* Interpret complex legal and regulatory requirements and translate them into actionable governance frameworks.
Requirements:
* Legal qualification and 4-6 years' experience in corporate law, with specific exposure to corporate governance.
* Prior experience in managing or supporting the delivery of AGMs for ASX listed entities.
* Strong knowledge of Corporations Act, ASX Listing Rules, and current governance best practices.
* Exceptional attention to detail and ability to draft clear, concise documents.
