About Us

The Nepean Blue Mountains Health District offers Medical Imaging (Radiology), Nuclear Medicine, and Nuclear Medical Therapy procedures to diagnose, assess, and treat patient injuries or diseases. 
This role delivers high-quality, patient-focused medical imaging across diverse clinical areas, aligned with the objectives and policies of NBMLHD and current safety standards. As a Medical Radiation Scientist, you are professionally accountable for your conduct and practice, adhering to the Guidelines for Professional Conduct for radiographers and radiation therapists. You will perform complex diagnostic imaging procedures to support accurate clinical diagnosis and contribute to optimal health outcomes.

What You Will Bring To The Role 
- Degree in Medical Radiation Science and current registration with APHRA as a Medical Radiation Practitioner (Diagnostic Radiography) 
- Current I14 Radiation Licence from NSW EPA 
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills 
- Experience in a hospital environment including General, Mobiles, Theatre, Trauma Radiography and some exposure to CT 
- Understanding of WH&S; and infection control in a radiology context 
- Ability to work in a team 
- Ability to problem solve and manage time effectively in a clinical environment 
- Commitment to enroll and complete a post graduate Ultrasound qualification within a specified time frame
