The role of Data Center Controls Engineer at a large organization involves complex problem-solving, project planning and execution, and the maintenance of critical building management systems (BMS) and electrical power monitoring systems (EPMS). Key responsibilities include collaboration with diverse teams, managing stakeholder expectations, navigating challenging situations, and ensuring the efficient management of service contracts.
Primary Responsibilities
* Troubleshoot issues related to BMS and EPMS in data centers
* Provide technical training to internal customers and stakeholders on BMS and EPMS systems
* Offer expert assistance to operations during the life cycle of data center projects
* Analyze quarterly maintenance results and implement corrective actions
* Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation for BMS and EPMS enhancements
* Manage project execution, encompassing scope, schedule, finance, and resource allocation for BMS and EPMS improvement initiatives
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or other relevant engineering disciplines, along with 3+ years of experience in controls-related roles or equivalent expertise. Experience working with industrial controls in high-stakes environments is also essential.
