About the role
Dhillon Charter is seeking an experienced School Bus Driver to join our team in Laverton North, VIC on a casual basis. As a School Bus Driver, you will play a vital role in providing safe and reliable transportation for students to and from school. With a minimum commitment of 25 hours per week, this position also includes opportunities for additional charter work, Weekend work, Rail.
What you'll be doing
* Operate buses safely and efficiently to transport students to and from school according to designated routes and schedules
* Ensure the wellbeing and safety of all passengers, including providing assistance to students as needed
* Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any issues or maintenance requirements
* Maintain accurate records of student attendance, route details, and any incidents that occur
* Provide exceptional customer service to students and their families
* Assist with charter work as needed, transporting passengers to various locations
What we're looking for
* Minimum 2 years' experience as Commercial Bus Driver
* Valid Australian driver's license with a minimum of a Medium Rigid (MR) classification
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
* Commitment to safety and a clean driving record
* Working knowledge of public transport regulations and procedures
