Deflector Operation consists of two high-grade, narrow vein Gold/Copper mines, located 160 km east of Geraldton.
The ore is contained in a series of structurally complex lodes, namely the Deflector and Deflector Southwest deposits.
Reporting to the Underground Supervisor, the Tele-remote Bogger Operator is responsible for providing quality and timely material movement and loading services using underground loaders (boggers), ensuring operational targets are met in a safe, environmentally compliant, and efficient manner.
This position will be offered on a 14:14 FIFO roster from Perth or 14:14 DIDO roster from Geraldton.
Key Responsibilities of this Role Will Include:
- Operate underground loaders (boggers) to transport broken ore and waste materials to trucks, ore/waste passes, and designated stockpiles
- Operate underground loaders on tele-remotes in stopes
- Perform secondary break duties including handling oversize materials and conducting scaling activities
- Assist in maintaining bogger equipment cleanliness, upkeep, and minor troubleshooting
- Record and submit accurate shift reports, production records, and maintenance logs
- Conduct basic mechanical maintenance checks to maximise machine uptime and productivity
- Adhere to daily and weekly planned work schedules
- Maintain compliance with WHS legislation and site procedures
- Participate in shift handovers, meetings, and change management processes
- Drive continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives
About You
- Completion of Year 10 education
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in underground operations operating boggers
- Extensive record of safe underground mining practices
- Minimum 12 months tele-remote experience (if required)
- Understanding of mining regulations, ground conditions, ventilation, and water management
- Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting
Required Certifications:
- WA Manual Driver’s Licence (C-Class)
- WA Dangerous Goods Security Card (DGSC)
- Senior First Aid Certificate
- IT Loader Ticket
- Working at Heights Certification
- Level 1 & Level 2 Isolation (Site Inducted)
- Atmospheric Gas Testing Knowledge (Site Inducted)
