Our team is seeking a skilled Laundry Attendant to join our dedicated and high-performing teams. As a Laundry Attendant, you will play a vital role in providing a high standard of care and customer service to our residents.
About the Role
This part-time opportunity includes a fortnightly roster with an unpaid half-hour meal break. The total hours per week are 29.
Responsibilities
* Undertake laundering activities to meet the service needs of the home.
* Launder all linen in accordance with the home's laundering schedule, including collection, sorting, washing, drying, pressing, and distribution of bed linen, towels, and table linen.
* Iron clothes.
* Launder residents' personal laundry in accordance with the home's laundry schedule, including collection, sorting, washing, drying, pressing, and distribution of residents' personal clothing.
* Label residents' clothing.
* Maintain the correct flow of linen and clothing through the laundry to meet Infection Control requirements.
* Use and maintain laundry equipment in accordance with manufacturer's instructions.
* Assist the Sister Unit Co-ordinator to maintain the 'Linen Stock Control Register' and report variances regarding old/worn clothing and linen.
* Undertake cleaning activities of the laundry and associated equipment in accordance with the home's cleaning schedule.

Requirements
* The ability to work in a team to provide a high standard of care.
* A self-starter able to work with minimal supervision.
* Commercial laundry experience, preferably in an aged care home.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* The ability to show empathy and understand the meaning of good customer service.
* A motivated, enthusiastic, and positive attitude.
* All appointments are conditional upon a satisfactory Police criminal record check for Aged Care and the right to work in Australia.
