We are currently looking to appoint a new Design Coordinator/Manager to manage the design phase through to the delivery phase. You will be fortunate enough to join a leading brand with established systems and processes as well as a brand that has relationships with the appropriate authorities and consultancies to turn concepts into real life.
Role:The Design Manager has the following specific areas of responsibility:
* Initial and ongoing procurement strategies
* Review designs, recommend improvements and provide value adding solutions
* Contract negotiations
* On-going design enhancement and improvement
* Manage design consultancies and achieve the best outcomes for the project
Person:
* Technical knowledge
* Ability to read technical drawings and foresee design and construction complications and cost savings
* Ability to identify cost savings through improving buildability and procurement
* Ability to translate technical requirement into policies and procedures
* Strong procurement strategy implementation
* High standard and well received internal and external design outcomes
* Experience working for a mid or upper tier construction company
* Strong Structural design knowledge
