Deputy Head of Aircraft Airworthiness and Maintenance Control (Deputy HAAMC) – West Perth, Engineering and Airworthiness, Permanent Full Time.

Are you ready to elevate aviation compliance and airworthiness to new heights? We have an exciting newly established opportunity for a Deputy HAAMC to join our dynamic growing team. If you are a high performing aviation professional with proven experience in aircraft maintenance and airworthiness management, we want to hear from you. You will be responsible for the strategic oversight of our aircraft maintenance programs and ensuring regulatory compliance across our fleet. Reporting to the Head of Aircraft Airworthiness and Maintenance Control, you will play a pivotal role in the success of airworthiness programs and systems, ensuring processes and controls are implemented and maintained to the highest safety and compliance standards.
Responsibilities
* Act as delegate for the HAAMC during their absence or as assigned.
* Be appointed by CASA as Maintenance Controller for the PHI fleet.
* Provide leadership to Airworthiness and Support staff as required.
* Support interactions with CASA and other regulatory bodies under the direction of the HAAMC.
* Assist in ensuring compliance with all Civil Aviation Safety Regulations (CASRs), Civil Aviation Regulations (CARs), and company procedures for continuing airworthiness.
* Assist in the development and maintenance of internal policies, procedures, and documentation for audit and regulatory compliance.
* Support the HAAMC with reporting obligations and regulatory submissions.
* Work with the HAAMC and Airworthiness to support the upkeep of the Maintenance Control Manual, Systems of Maintenance, and other continuing airworthiness publications.
* Work with the HAAMC, Airworthiness and Flight Operations Department, to support the upkeep of Minimum Equipment Lists.
* Assist with the evaluation and implementation of Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins (SBs), OEM Chapter 4 & 5 revisions, and other instructions for continuing airworthiness.
Requirements
* Possess significant experience in aircraft maintenance and continuing airworthiness management sufficient to support HAAMC responsibilities, including approval by CASA as a Maintenance Controller.
* Demonstrate a solid understanding of:
* Civil Aviation regulations and standards applicable to continuing airworthiness,
* Aircraft certification standards, MELs, and operational procedures related to airworthiness,
* Aircraft Maintenance Programs including development, implementation and upkeep; Type Rating on one of: H175, AW189 or S92.
* Be capable of acting as a liaison with the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) and other regulatory stakeholders under delegation.

* Demonstrated ability to collaborate and engage with maintenance personnel, pilots, senior managers and other stakeholders in relation to continuing airworthiness matters.
* Embraces change and demonstrates a willingness to learn new technology and processes.
* In-depth demonstrated knowledge of maintenance scheduling, airworthiness tracking systems, and defect management.
* Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Proficiency in technical software (e.g., RAMCO or equivalent Aircraft Maintenance Information Systems).
* Demonstrated leadership, decision-making, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
