Summary (SEEK): Drive HVAC&R technical sales growth across South Australia, combining engineering expertise with relationship-focused business development in a trusted national refrigeration wholesaler.

About the role

Kirby HVAC&R is a leading wholesaler with a strong national footprint and a reputation built on expertise, service and long-term partnerships.

We're seeking a Technical Sales Representative to drive growth across South Australia through technical solutions, customer engagement and strategic business development. This is a relationship-first sales role where your technical capability and commercial mindset will directly influence customer outcomes, market positioning and revenue growth.

You'll work closely with branches, product specialists and leadership to secure new business, support projects and strengthen existing accounts across the region.

This role sits within our Refrigeration Wholesale business and reports to the State Manager with the opportunity to grow into a Field Engineer role.

Key responsibilities
* Identify and secure new HVAC&R sales opportunities across South Australia
* Provide technical advice and equipment solutions to customers and projects
* Build and grow relationships with contractors, consultants and key accounts
* Prepare quotations, follow up opportunities and drive conversion
* Develop and execute regional sales plans and forecasts
* Gather market intelligence and provide product and competitor insights
* Collaborate with branches and internal stakeholders to deliver solutions
* Represent Beijer Ref values and safety culture in all interactions
* The role combines technical application expertise with proactive business development to grow market share and revenue.
About you
* Technically capable HVAC&R sales or engineering professional who enjoys building relationships and influencing outcomes.
* HVAC&R industry experience in sales, engineering or technical roles.
* Strong solution-based selling and customer engagement skills.
* Ability to interpret applications and recommend equipment solutions.
* Commercial drive with a focus on growth and results.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building capability.
* Organised, proactive and self-driven approach.
* Experience in wholesale or contractor engagement environments will be highly regarded.
