GKB Impact is a dynamic non‑profit organisation dedicated to driving positive change across the Gnaala Karla Booja region. We work across a range of community development initiatives, from heritage preservation to environmental conservation and business development programs. Our passionate team is committed to making a tangible difference in the lives of Gnaala Karla Booja members, and the broader Aboriginal community.

We are looking for a full‑time Administration Coordinator – Heritage to support the Business Manager – Heritage in the management of administration‑based activities within the Heritage department. The role supports the Heritage team members with financial management, record keeping, database management and continuous improvement of the new and existing heritage processes and procedures. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless cost recovery within a busy multidisciplinary team.


Key Responsibilities

* Provide administration support with scheduling & logistics of meetings, engagements & events.
* Provide minutes on meetings and follow‑up lists for outstanding actions.
* Preparation of department reports, project reports and record keeping.
* Maintain up‑to‑date information on website.
* Assist with the recruitment of teams.
* Ensure new recruits attend medicals, complete inductions and any relevant training requirements for the projects.
* Collate all department training information of Heritage team and produce reports for Management and Board.
* Maintain accurate records of the progress of projects and status.
* Contribute to building efficiency and streamlining processes within the heritage team.
* Assist in the planning, support, and execution of heritage surveys.
* Develop and maintain relationships with proponents, government agencies, heritage organisations, consultants, Traditional Owners, and more.


Selection Criteria

* Qualification in Business Administration or equivalent work experience.
* Proven ability to work within diverse teams.
* Proven ability to work with a diverse range of consultants.
* Highly developed organisational and communication skills.
* Previous experience within a heritage service space.
* Previous experience working within the Native Title space.

We offer

* Salary range from $90,000 per annum depending on skills/experience, + superannuation.
* Salary packaging (up to $15,899 a year, + meal/entertainment benefit of $2,650 a year).
* 5 weeks annual leave per year + 17.5% leave loading.
* Christmas shut down period credited as additional leave.
* LSL vested after 7 years of service.
