Job Overview: We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Japanese-speaking Tour Guide to provide engaging and informative experiences for Japanese tourists. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of Australian history, culture, and popular attractions, and be able to communicate fluently in both Japanese and English.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct guided tours for Japanese-speaking visitors, ensuring an enjoyable and educational experience.
* Provide detailed explanations about landmarks, history, and culture in an engaging manner.
* Assist tourists with inquiries, translation, and cultural understanding.
* Ensure the safety and well-being of tour participants throughout the journey.
* Coordinate with drivers and tour coordinators to maintain smooth operations.
* Handle unexpected situations professionally, including itinerary changes or emergencies.
* Promote positive guest experiences and address any concerns with professionalism.
Requirements:
* Fluent in Japanese (native or advanced proficiency) and English.
* Previous experience as a tour guide, or a strong background in hospitality, tourism, or customer service.
* In-depth knowledge of Australia's key tourist attractions, culture, and history.
* Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
* Ability to manage groups and maintain a friendly, engaging atmosphere.
* Valid Australian driver's license (preferred but not required).
* First aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
* Flexible schedule, including weekends and public holidays.
