Primary objective
Provide strategic leadership and direction to ensure the effective delivery of maintenance, support, development, and
governance services across a portfolio of across NT Government common use, corporate business applications, particularly
human resource, and payroll management systems.
Context statement
The Across Government Systems Division is responsible for providing high-level strategic advice and operational
management for the systems supporting key corporate services and various other all of government systems.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Lead, manage and coordinate business planning and budgeting processes to ensure strategic objectives and operational
requirements are achieved.
2. Actively lead a process of improvement to ensure identification, development and implementation of appropriate
resource management strategies and solutions to integrate system and service delivery, adhere to standards, provide
stable business systems and increase productivity.
1. Liaise effectively with senior representatives of customer agencies, including CEO level, as to their service requirements.
2. Provide strategic leadership and quality management to all aspects of the portfolio of business systems projects including
the development of strategic and operational plans to ensure the timely delivery of all in-scope projects and initiatives.
5. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, standards and codes of good practice for the management of
the NTG HR Systems.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. High level of leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to develop strong and productive
professional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
2. High-level conceptual and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret the organisational environment, think and act
strategically and achieve corporate objectives.
3. Extensive knowledge and experience in contemporary application management.
4. Extensive knowledge of program, project and service management frameworks, methodologies, tools and processes.
5. Proven track record in the management of service delivery to a diverse range of occupational groups.
6. Demonstrated work ethic and attitude which emulates DCDD values of being professional, accountable, honest,
respectful and innovative.
Desirable
1. Experience in Human Resource Management Systems
2. Successful completion of Executive Development Program or similar executive leadership program.
