Spill Wine is a boutique wine bar and wine store located in the heart of Maleny on the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Our menu is built on seasonal produce and designed to complement one of the region's most distinctive wine lists. About the role
We are seeking a chef or cook to take full responsibility for the day-to-day operation of our kitchen. This autonomous role involves managing prep and service, menu development, and ensuring high standards across all areas. You will work closely with chef and sommelier Jamie Fleming to design menus that highlight the seasons and celebrate local producers.
This is a four day position with no late nights. It is an opportunity to cook with purpose, contribute your ideas, and make your mark on one of Maleny's most exciting venues.
Key responsibilities
* Oversee daily kitchen operations from prep through to service
* Design and prepare seasonal dishes that complement our wine program
* Collaborate with Jamie Fleming to refine recipes and develop new menu items
* Manage ordering, organisation, and food safety compliance
* Maintain consistency, presentation, and quality on the plate
About you
* A chef or cook with the ability to work in a kitchen autonomously
* Strong skills in preparation, organisation, and presentation
* Passionate about produce, seasonality, and food that works with wine
* Reliable, self motivated, and collaborative
* Previous kitchen experience is essential
