Change and Communications Manager

**The opportunity**
The Change and Communications Manager is responsible for external communications to advisers and customers for a significant program in the Platforms business. Required communications will include significant event notices to customers and associated communications to advisers and advice licensees. **This is contingent contract role at AMP.**
**Description of division and business unit**
The Platforms business offers superannuation, retirement and investment products including the flagship North investment platform which continues to deliver on its commitment of strengthening and broadening investment choice for customers. Platforms Transformation team is responsible for delivery of key projects and strategic initiatives to help the Platforms business meet its growth goals.
**About the role**:
- Work with Program Change lead and Business Leads to assess external communication needs and determine likely project communication requirements and timeline.
- Develop communications plan, including recommendation for channel, timing, audiences and key messages.
- Develop communications using a range of formats and channels
- Manage review and approval process
- Work with internal and external teams as required to schedule delivery and build of communications
- Work with Program Change Led to ensure approved customer and adviser messages can be incorporated into relevant internal communications and briefings ahead of related external project communication.
- Ensure delivery of communications is within agreed budgets, time frames, RACI and meets legal and regulatory compliance.
- Measure communication effectiveness based on agreed measures
- Maintain log of all external project communications to meet project audit requirements.
- Support the translation of the strategy into an actionable plan of initiatives to achieve strategic goals
- Coordinate and manage the prioritisation of Platforms strategic initiatives as well as the realisation of established goals/objectives.
**Job Specific Capabilities required**:
- Expertise in modern communications practice and methods.
- Experience in conducting communications analysis and developing communications plans.
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships with senior leaders of the business.
- Commercial acumen and practical focus.
- Excellence in verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong management skills to plan and use time effectively, manage multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously delivering on multiple projects.
- Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders
- Strong team focused work ethic
- Prior experience in delivering communication management activities across marketing and projects, including enterprise level projects.
- Experience in delivering communications in a variety of project methodologies including agile and adaptive project management.
- Comfortable working with degrees of ambiguity.
**About you**:
- Five plus years in similar role
- Tertiary qualification in communications, marketing or related discipline
