Available – Casual position at our Lindsay Rural branch in Mareeba.
About the Company
Lindsay Australia is a leading transporter of fresh and refrigerated produce, supporting farmers from planting and packaging to retail and family delivery through road, rail and logistics network. Lindsay Rural supplies agricultural products and provides integrated solutions, including a refrigerated fleet for rural deliveries.
The Role
We are seeking an HC Delivery Driver to join our Mareeba branch for local delivery work. This casual role works Monday‑Friday with varying hours during the busy season and involves safe loading, unloading and transportation of goods to and from customer properties. The position is physically demanding and requires a strong focus on safe driving practices.
Responsibilities
- Deliver and unload merchandise to rural worksites.
- Assist in loading/unloading and maintain load restraint to prevent freight movement.
- Maintain delivery logs and obtain signatures for deliveries.
- Communicate with warehouse or pickup point for special instructions.
- Interact with customers professionally, representing the company.
- Provide in‑store counter sales as required.
Qualifications
- Current HC Licence.
- Current forklift licence.
- Previous delivery driver experience, ideally in a retail environment.
- Safety‑focused with a commitment to safe driving practices.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to work independently.
- Well presented, qualified and reliable.
- Experience with rural worksites or rural clients highly regarded.
Requirements
- Pass a Commercial Driver’s Health Assessment including drug and alcohol test.
- Provide a current traffic print‑out.
- Physical capability to meet job demands, including repetitive bending and lifting of rural merchandise.
