Fleet Manager – Narangba QLD
Kogan People Solutions, recruiters, are working with a business who runs a busy and successful logistics hub supporting Australia Post deliveries located north of Brisbane. This busy depot supports daily freight and parcel movement across Queensland.
As the business continues to grow, this business is seeking a qualified and experienced Fleet Manager to join this fast-paced depot keeping the operations running smoothly and help deliver on time, every time.
Location: Narangba QLD.
Salary: A great salary, negotiable, is offered in the range of $75k to $85k plus superannuation per annum.
Tenure: Full-time, ongoing.
About the role:
This versatile role oversees daily fleet operations, including scheduling, maintenance, and driver coordination. It also manages rental vans, ensuring smooth handovers and compliance with lease terms.
Key responsibilities include:
* Coordinating the acquisition, maintenance, and servicing of fleet vehicles, equipment, and fuel to ensure optimal operations.
* Resolving user, driver, and other operational complaints promptly to uphold satisfaction and build long-term working relationships.
* Ensuring all vehicles and operations adhere to occupational health and safety standards.
* Analysing delivery trends and operational data to forecast demand and adjust fleet composition accordingly.
* Managing rental vehicles on behalf of drivers, ensuring roadworthiness, timely servicing, and compliance with lease terms.
* Assisting drivers with Australia Post delivery systems, including PDT (Portable Device Terminal) scanners and associated software.
* Supporting early morning and night shift operations, including covering staff absences when required.
* Occasionally assisting with parcel handling and deliveries, including items up to 32kg, requiring physical fitness and flexibility.
To be successfully considered, we expect to see:
* Relevant qualifications (minimum Diploma) in Fleet Control, Transport or agreed equivalent.
* At least 1 or more years of verifiable fleet management experience in similar professional environments.
* Proven ability to manage vehicle leasing, maintenance schedules, and compliance documentation.
* Strong organisational and communication skills, with technical knowledge of delivery systems and equipment (e.g. PDT scanners).
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, shift-based environment.
* Physical fitness to occasionally assist with parcel handling (up to 32kg).
* Knowledge of occupational health and safety standards and vehicle roadworthiness requirements.
* Flexibility to support early morning and night shift operations when required.
