Join an iconic five-star luxury hotel and bring your payroll expertise to a brand recognised worldwide. At Shangri-La The Marina, Cairns, we are seeking a skilled Payroll Officer to oversee end-to-end payroll operations with accuracy, care, and confidentiality.
What You’ll Do
Process weekly payroll, timesheets, and reports with accuracy
Manage employee movements including onboarding, transfers, and terminations
Ensure compliance with tax, superannuation, and leave entitlements
Prepare payroll journals, reconciliations, and management reports
Provide payroll support and advice to leaders and employees
Liaise with banks, superannuation agents, and insurers as required
What We’re Looking For
Proven payroll experience (hospitality or hotel experience an advantage)
Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance requirements
High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Proficiency in payroll systems and Excel
