Job Description:
We are seeking a Civil Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of the project delivery team, you will be responsible for managing project operations to ensure successful completion of projects.
* Manage project operations in accordance with project directives and deliverables.
* Provide oversight and guidance on trade package scoping.
* Liaise with the Site Manager to identify design errors, omissions, and ambiguity for follow-up and resolution.
* Identify areas of risk and opportunities in the project and in each trade package for resolution.
* Manage and contribute to the preparation of reports to clients as required.
* Review/Assist the preparation of subcontract trade packages, calling of tenders, and approve recommendations prior to review.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Recognised relevant qualification or minimum of 15 years in the civil industry with senior level experience on major projects is essential. A complete understanding of civil materials and methods, project programming experience, excellent time management, personnel management, and organisational skills are also crucial.
As a Civil Project Manager, you will possess strong leadership skills, effective communication, and problem-solving abilities. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining high-quality standards. They will also be responsible for identifying and mitigating risks, developing and implementing contingency plans, and providing regular progress updates to stakeholders.
They will demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, be proactive in resolving conflicts and issues, and maintain open communication channels with the project team, stakeholders, and external parties.
