As there is no onsite accommodation, you will need to drive in and out daily. Ideally, employees live within an hour’s drive of Collie.Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor as a Technician Maintenance Fabricator, the purpose of this role is to safely execute maintenance work within an operational area according to SAP processes, maintenance schedules, and work instructions, as directed by the Supervisor Maintenance. This is a permanent position.Key responsibilities include:Demonstrate commitment to safe work practices and proceduresEnsure compliance with SAP processes for work execution and accurately record transactions in SAPExecute work orders as scheduled and per work instructions from maintenance supervisors or superintendentsEnsure work quality and record history in SAP notifications for future referenceContribute to root cause analysis and resolution of equipment reliability issuesProperly scope corrective work to facilitate planningSupport continuous improvement initiatives to minimize costs and maximize productionMaintain welding qualifications per Worsley standards and specific area needsABOUT YOUBoilermaker Welder Trade certification or Certificate III in Engineering Fabrication Trade (Boilermaking/Welding)Proficiency in written and spoken EnglishValid C class driver’s licenseKnowledge of SAP data entry, work order processing, and warehouse functionsHigh Risk Work License for ForkliftElevated Work Platform certificationHigh Risk Basic Rigging certificationAccredited Confined Spaces TrainingAt least 2 years’ experience in a relevant role, preferably in the resource sectorOUR CULTUREAt South32, our people are key to our success.
