Job Title: Ramp Operations Manager
This role involves overseeing airside stakeholders operating on airport aprons, ensuring operational efficiency and safety of ramp and baggage make-up operations. As a senior airport professional, you will be responsible for leading a team of operations staff, managing resources, and driving process improvements.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise daily ramp and baggage operations to ensure compliance with airport standards and rules.
* Monitor safety and operational efficiency on the ramp and in baggage make-up areas.
* Foster collaborative working relationships with airport stakeholders to address operational or safety concerns.
* Develop and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
* Liaise with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
About You:
* You must have minimum 5 years' experience in airport operations or ground handling experience, preferably in a supervisory role focused on ramp and/or baggage operations.
* Proven ability to lead and motivate a small airport operations team while effectively managing resources.
* Knowledge of IATA AHM requirements related to ramp operations and GSE standards.
* Flexibility and ability to adapt to change, working on multiple issues at the same time.
* Confident, self-motivated, and a genuine team player.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* A current NSW Driver's License is required.
* You must also be able to obtain various certifications and licenses including an Aeronautical Radio Operators Certificate, Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC), Airside Driving Authority, Senior First Aid Certificate, and NSW General Construction Induction White Card.
