John Hunter Children’s Hospital (JHCH) is a leading facility located in Newcastle, New South Wales. As part of the John Hunter Health Complex, JHCH provides specialised paediatric care to children and young people across the Hunter New England Local Health District and beyond.
What You'll Be Doing
The Audiology Department provides comprehensive specialist hearing services to children and young people across HNELHD, with a limited tertiary-level service to families in Northern NSW, and a limited adult service on a need's basis.
Services Include
- Infant diagnostics
- General paediatric audiology
- ENT/Audiology-led pathways
Children can be referred to JHCH Audiology by specialist doctors across the district if they are identified as having, or being at risk of having, hearing loss. Care and treatment are guided by evidence-based practices and collaborative care pathways.
About You
You are a highly skilled audiologist with extensive experience in paediatric audiology, preferably within a tertiary or specialist setting. You bring advanced clinical diagnostic and case management skills, with a strong ability to make sound clinical decisions independently.
Requirements
- Master's Degree or equivalent in Audiology and eligible to be a member of Audiological Society of Australia.
