Role Description
We are seeking a dedicated CMT Technician for a full-time, on-site role in Wollongong, NSW. The CMT Technician will perform quality assurance and quality control testing of construction materials in the field and laboratory setting, including soils, aggregates, and concrete. Responsibilities include sample collection and preparation, conducting standard and advanced testing, recording precise data, and generating reports. The role also involves liaising with clients, adhering to safety protocols, and maintaining testing equipment to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Qualifications
* Proficiency in construction materials testing, including soils, aggregates, and concrete
* Experience in sample collection, preparation, and field testing
* Ability to accurately record data and prepare test reports
* Knowledge of safety regulations and guidelines in construction and geotechnical settings
* Proficiency in using laboratory and field testing equipment
* Strong organizational and time management skills
* Relevant certifications in construction materials testing (e.g., NATAS or equivalent), or willingness to obtain
* Driver's license for local travel to project sites, as required
* Previous experience in geotechnical or construction materials testing is a plus
