The Data Engineer leads delivery of high quality data services including data acquisition, integration and transformation to support data and analytics requirements across Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service (GCHHS).
The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Data Engineer to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
* Apply corporate best practices for Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) system and data processes
* Lead data service delivery and all aspects of provision of quality data
* Undertake analysis of complex health care data to provide business-critical information
* Liaise and consult with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders
* Research new technology and techniques, apply innovative solutions and provide technical advice
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
* A relevant tertiary qualification
* Experience and proficiency in the cloud data platform including Snowflake, Amazon Web Services (AWS)
* Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
* Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
* Temporary full time (up to 28 February 2027 with possibility of extension)
* Base salary ranging from $5 370.60 – $5 763.70 per fortnight
