The Role
Reporting to the Lead Engineer – Automation, this is a full‑time role for a Senior Control Systems Engineer to take ownership of projects from early requirements through to commissioning and handover. We’re seeking a candidate who enjoys working closely with clients to define technical requirements, deliver robust PLC/SCADA solutions, and act as a trusted problem‑solver on complex projects.
Responsibilities for the role include
* Partner with clients and internal stakeholders to define scope and technical requirements.
* Lead control system design, development and implementation to meet safety, quality and performance expectations.
* Solving complex engineering challenges using strong technical judgement
* Produce high‑quality documentation and client‑ready deliverables.
* Planning and executing commissioning activities, including site work which may require travel
* Mentor junior engineers, share knowledge and contribute to continuous improvement.
Qualifications / Experience
* Electrical Trade or Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechatronics, Controls, or related discipline)
* 5+ years' experience in industrial automation/control systems with commissioning exposure.
* Practical PLC/RTU programming experience (e.g. Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider)
* End‑to‑end delivery of SCADA/HMI solutions (e.g. Ignition, AVEVA, FactoryTalk, WinCC)
* Integration experience with typical industrial systems (e.g. drives, instrumentation, PID loops, safety interfaces, OT networking devices)
