The Opportunity:
An Area Specialist is responsible for leading, developing and motivating a diverse team of distribution centre team members. Area Specialists take ownership and accountability for People, Safety, Service and Value in their Area,, working together to put the right products in consumers' hands as simply and safely as possible.
The Area Specialist is responsible for one or more designated areas and all activity for those areas on a specific shift. They are accountable for ensuring all activities meet set KPIs and play a key role in ensuring all key stakeholders are kept informed of any issues, risks or opportunities.
Key Responsibilities include:
8. Supervise the performance of your team to meet production targets and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures
9. Lead, motivate and engage team members by applying effective people management processes and practices
10. Build and promote a team environment focused on working collaboratively to achieve team and DC objectives
11. Daily management of the business to achieve planned/budgeted KPIs, cost outcomes, safety measures, performance standards and service levels.
12. Complete administrative tasks associated with managing the team including management of leave, time and attendance and injury management.
13. Use effective communication techniques that encourage open and honest communications and constant information flow

17. Strong planning and problem-solving skills including the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
