Theatre Consumables Set Up Technician : Permanent part-time positions - flexible hours for work life balance
Engage in cleaning, sorting, assembling, sterile consumable items used in Operating Theatres
Flexibility to work across a five-day rotating roster, including morning, afternoon and night shifts, is critical for this role.
The Opportunity
Hollywood Private Hospital, with its recent expansion to 20 state of art theatres, in on the lookout for experienced and driven Set Up Technicians to join our rapidly growing team and to develop new skills with a leading Healthcare provider.
Our theatres boast cutting edge technologies, including robotic surgery capabilities.
Your responsibilities will encompass maintaining the highest levels of cleanliness, sorting, assembling, packaging and sterilising the equipment used in the Operating Theatres and ward areas.
You will assist with the validation and routine of decontamination and sterilisation processes and also the maintenance of these records, as well as actively participate in quality and infection control audits, relevant to the department.
Furthermore, you will be in charge of preserving the cleanliness of all work surfaces and equipment, promptly reporting any damage, and handling equipment transportation before and after sterilisation.
About You
Proven experience as an SSD Technician or set up assistant (Desirable)
Exceptional attention to detail and strong task orientation
Commitment to continuous improvement and the achievement of excellence
Excellent interpersonal, communication and time management skills.
Candidates with a Certificate III in Sterilisation will be highly regarded.
Remuneration
On offer is an hourly rate ranging from WA support services Worker –PACT Level 4 year 1 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
