About the Opportunity
This newly created national role gives you the chance to reshape how a sales function operates and delivers. You will take responsibility for sharpening an established and growing field sales team of 8-10, lifting commercial capability and embedding a consistent national rhythm that strengthens customer outcomes.
Your remit covers coaching, performance uplift, disciplined sales execution and cultural alignment, supported by significant investment in people, tools and systems. You will inherit a team with solid foundations, including early account planning, baseline KPIs and healthy market demand, but they are ready for a leader who can bring structure, clarity and a more contemporary approach to sales leadership.
A formal capability program has commenced, and you will be integral to translating this into in-field behaviour, improved sales practice and measurable results. Expect regular travel, hands‑on support of regional teams and genuine ownership of how the sales function evolves over the next year.
About You
You are an experienced and hands‑on Sales Manager with a track record of lifting performance across a geographically dispersed sales team. You enjoy transformation, coaching and accountability and you know how to build momentum and alignment in a field based team.
You understand structured sales process and commercial discipline, likely gained in industrial distribution, technical products, capital equipment or other mature B2B environments where planning, segmentation and performance metrics matter. You can build capability, raise standards and shift culture, while partnering well with operations, service, logistics and senior leadership.
You enjoy setting expectations, embedding consistent practice, managing underperformance and building a positive, forward‑focused team environment through hands‑on coaching in the field. People describe you as confident, clear, empathetic and commercially strong. You are happy to travel nationally.
