Assistant Project Officer
Location: Parramatta (hybrid Parramatta office and work from home)
Employment type: Ongoing Full Time
Salary: Clerk Grade 5/6, $99,938 to $110,271 pa, plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
Your role
The Assistant Project Officer undertakes a range of project research, analysis, reporting, implementation and administrative activities to support the development and delivery of projects, in line with established project plans and objectives.
What you'll do
As a Project Officer with the Strategic Infrastructure Risk Resilience team within Infrastructure and Assets, you are responsible for but not limited to:
* Support the delivery of property and asset projects and initiatives to achieve operational and strategic goals.
* Support the development of project plans and schedules and participate in planning processes as required.
* Monitor, track and report on the status of project deliverables to ensure time, cost and quality metrics are in line with approved project plans for assigned projects.
* Provide practical and proactive project support and administrative services to project team and stakeholders.
* Assess and monitor project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable.
* Coordinate project administration including coordination of workshops and meetings, minute taking, manage assigned actions and follow-ups and project status reporting.
* Develop and manage effective communications with key stakeholders, both internal and external to the project.
What we're looking for
In addition to meeting the essential requirements, the successful candidate must demonstrate strong capabilities in:
* Delivering multiple project support activities in line with agreed standards and objectives, given tight
* deadlines and competing demands and priorities
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills to provide updates regarding project status and implementation issues
* Updating and collating documentation and records regarding relevant issues, policies and practices to
* ensure the delivery of projects complies with agreed project management methodology
* Undertaking basic research and analysis in assigned project areas and contribute to the preparation of
* project briefs to support informed decision making and planning
* Proven ability to work autonomously and to work on collaborative projects to ensure correspondence are all highly accurate, confidential and stylistically consistent in accordance with Departmental standards and guidelines.
* Use relevant technology to prepare documentation and presentation material to support business unit managers and directors.
* Manage and coordinate allocations workflow assigned to Strategic Infrastructure Risk Resilience team to ensure delivery of work within agreed upon deadlines and quality standards.
