**Where you'll be working**
Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital
**What you'll be doing**
Identify and report defects, safety hazards or damage to buildings, grounds and equipment and report to the appropriate authority such as Engineering manager and Security Supervisor.
Provide assistance with cash, drug and staff escorts as required. Operate security equipment such as CCTV, Intruder and Duress alarms and Access Control systems including Security Identification cards.
Exercising duties in accordance with Security legislation in regard to providing Security or the apprehension of absconding patients whilst doing so under instruction from Clinical professionals.
Comply with authorised written and verbal instructions, policy and procedures, Values and Behavioural Charters and the NSW Health Code of Conduct and other security related duties as directed by the Security Supervisor, Security Manager and Corporate Service Managers.

- Must hold current NSW Security Licence Class 1A, NSW Drivers Licence Class 'C' and a valid Senior First Aid certificate and current employee Working with Children Check.
- Demonstrated ability to complete routine event reporting, shift logs accounting for the duration of the shifts and routine patrols, and the ability to compile thorough and concise incident reports including statements suitable for presentation in Court.
- Demonstrated negotiation and conflict resolution skills and the ability to work as a member of a team in an often-stressful environment with the willingness and ability to follow direction from team leaders in both clinical and administrative roles.
