Overview
Fortis Industries is interviewing for a Full-time Janitor position in the McClellan Park area. The successful candidate will have experience in janitorial procedures. Fortis will provide tools and equipment required for the contracted services. Must be able to pass background check to access secure government facility. Must have reliable transportation to get to and from the respective facility.
Responsibilities
* Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
* Gather and empty trash. (facility and perimeter)
* Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
* Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
* Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
* Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
Schedule
This is a Mon-Fri position, typically 4pm-12:30am (which includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch break) though the hours may vary slightly on certain days.
Qualifications/Requirements
* Background and drug screen results must be favorable and meet eligibility requirements for access to government facilities.
* Preferred experience: Janitor: 1 year
Pay and Benefits
* $18.21 an hour plus
* Health and Welfare - $4.93 an hour up to 40 hours a week, these monies are intended to pay for benefits.
