The Role
An opportunity has become available for an Allied Health Clinical Educator - Advanced (Mental Health and Specialist Services) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
Lead the development and delivery of best-practice, evidence-based, specialist mental health and Alcohol and Other Drug Service (AODS) clinical education and training
Utilising principles of adult learning, facilitate the delivery of face-to-face professional training to a variety of professional audiences
Design, develop and review a range of written mental health and AODS training resources for multidisciplinary health professionals including e-learning modules and other training related materials
Provide independent, high-level, specialised mental health and AODS advice, authoritative counsel and other forms of professional support
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
A tertiary degree in Occupational Therapy, Psychology or Social Work
AHPRA Registration (Occupational Therapist and Psychologist only)
Eligibility for membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers (Social Worker only)
Driver Licence
Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Base salary ranging from $73.12 - $76.30 per hour

They work collaboratively to improve the identification, assessment and management of people through staff professional development for Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service.
