The Scottish Chamber Orchestra (SCO) is seeking a Senior Philanthropy Manager to play a key role in driving its major gift strategy, securing funding for various priority projects and programs.
This includes our Creative Learning program, concerts program, touring, New Music Fund, player Chair sponsorships, SCO Chorus development fund, recordings, and capital costs such as instruments. The postholder will lead the development of strategies to maximize income from Individual Giving and the legacy program, Sir Charles Mackerras Circle.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drive the major gift strategy, expanding membership of the Principal Conductor's Circle
* Foster long-term corporate partnerships
* Secure funding for priority projects and programs
The Senior Philanthropy Manager will work closely with the Development Director to identify and cultivate relationships with new high-net-worth individuals and potential business partners, securing major gifts for the SCO. To maximize funding, the postholder will gain a thorough understanding of upcoming projects across the organization and develop compelling proposals for funding.
Requirements:
* Proven track record in philanthropy or a related field
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
* Able to work independently and as part of a team
