Are you a hands-on, reliable team player who enjoys working outdoors and making a difference in your community? Oberon Council is on the lookout for motivated Labourers to support a variety of essential services across our beautiful region.
What you will be doing:
You'll be part of a dynamic team contributing to:
* Traffic Management– Set up and maintain traffic control for roadworks and events.
* Roads Maintenance – Repair potholes, maintain surfaces, and keep our roads safe.
* Parks & Gardens – Plant, mow, landscape, and help beautify public spaces.
* Town Maintenance – Keep our town clean by emptying bins and maintaining public facilities.
* Water Maintenance – Assist in maintaining local water systems.
What we're looking for:
Essential:
* Construction Induction Card (or ability to obtain).
* Experience in labouring (parks, roads, cleaning, concreting, etc.).
* Team player with a strong work ethic.
* Willingness to learn and attend training.
* Comfortable using mobile devices or willing to learn.
* Physically fit for manual labour.
* Valid Class C Driver's Licence.
* Willingness to obtain relevant certificates (e.g., chemical use, plant operation).
Desirable:
* MR/HR Licence and plant/machinery experience.
* Road construction experience.
* Traffic Control tickets (Implement Traffic Control Plans, Traffic Controller).
