Salary
$70,000 – $85,000 per annum plus superannuation.
Duties of Chef
- Monitors and maintains the quality of dishes throughout every stage of preparation, ensuring that each plate meets high standards in taste, presentation, and adherence to culinary excellence.
- Designs menus that balance creativity, seasonal availability, and customer preferences.
- Calculates food and labour costs to ensure profitability and efficient resource allocation.
- Ensures dishes are prepared according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Orders ingredients and optimises inventory to support kitchen operations.
- Strategically freezes and preserves ingredients to minimise waste and optimise kitchen efficiency.
- Introduces new cooking techniques, recipes, and menu items to enhance culinary offerings.
- Participates in the selection and hiring process to onboard skilled and qualified kitchen personnel and trains kitchen staff to perform their duties adequately.
- Works closely with managers, dietitians, kitchen staff, and waiting staff to foster collaboration and address operational, nutritional, and customer service aspects to ensure efficient and high‐quality food service.
- Ensures hygiene is maintained to required standards and maintains a clean and organised kitchen during and after service.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma level qualification is desirable.
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience.
- Friendly, positive and approachable attitude.
- Well presented and motivated.
- Able to work unsupervised under pressure.
Duties of Cook
- Cooking food as per the dietary requirements of the patrons such as food allergies.
- Checking whether the ingredients used for cooking are in accordance with recipe guidelines and are of good quality.
- Seasoning, marinating, roasting and baking food as per the recipes.
- Stirring and mixing to make a variety of sauces for marinating and preparing various dishes.
- Washing, cutting, and peeling of ingredients including vegetables and meats for preparing cuisines.
- Demonstrates safe work practices and adheres to workplace health and safety regulations by cleaning and tidying the restaurant and kitchen using sanitisers, bleach, hot water, soap liquids etc.
- Examines food and products to ensure they are of the highest quality.
- Organises cooked meals in platters with good presentation and right proportion.
- Assists the Chef in planning and designing menus.
- Cook, bake and grill meats and vegetables following proper recipes.
- Assists the chef in daily food operations and works under the supervision of the chef.
- Uses proper knife handling techniques, and cutting techniques for fruit, vegetables and meats appropriate to the style of cuisine.
- Performs other activities such as training kitchen staff.
- Receives and stores stock in a clean place and temperature‐controlled facility.
Qualifications & Experience
- Certificate IV qualification is desirable.
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience.

- Well presented and motivated.
- Able to work unsupervised under pressure.
Duties of Commercial Housekeeper
- Cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, hallways, and common areas.
- Vacuuming carpets, mopping floors, and polishing surfaces.
- Dusting furniture, fittings, and room fixtures.
- Changing bed linen, making beds, and arranging guest rooms.
- Restocking toiletries, towels, minibar items, and room supplies.
- Emptying rubbish bins and transferring waste to disposal areas.
- Cleaning bathrooms, kitchen areas, cupboards, benches, and appliances.
- Washing, drying, ironing, and organising linen and uniforms.
- Monitoring housekeeping supplies and storing cleaning equipment properly.
- Identifying and reporting maintenance, repair, or safety concerns.
- Assisting guests with housekeeping‐related requests and enquiries.
- Following workplace hygiene, cleaning, and safety procedures.
