Job Description
This role is ideal for someone passionate about creating and delivering effective safety and environmental systems, processes, initiatives, and programs.
The position involves assisting with developing and maintaining the Health and Safety Management system, participating in workplace inspections, and reporting on any hazards or risks. Additionally, you will contribute to toolbox talks and safety meetings, promote safe work practices, and update safety procedures under guidance.
* We assist with developing and maintaining our Health and Safety Management system.
* We participate in conducting workplace inspections and reporting on any hazard or risk.
* We participate in and contribute to toolbox talks and safety meetings.
* We promote safe work practices and environmental awareness among the team.
* We update safety procedures, forms, templates, and guides under guidance.
* We familiarize and apply relevant Work Health Safety & Environment legislation, policies, and procedures.
* We support the delivery of important Health Management Initiatives.
* We maintain currency and calibration for various work health and safety equipment.
* We update and maintain employee profiles within the Learning Management System.
* We update and maintain company documentation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Experience in Health, Safety, and Environment or a willingness to learn.
* A strong understanding of Health, Safety, and Environment Legislation acts, regulations, codes of practice, and standards.
* Familiarity with Heavy Plant & Equipment or environmental monitoring equipment is desirable.
* An intermediate to high level of computer literacy and software skills.
* A high level of attention to detail.
* Excellent written and verbal communication.
