The Opportunity
We’re excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a full time Business Traineeship in partnership with our host, Seymour Whyte Constructions.
The position will be based at their Plant Maintenance office at Ormeau.
With over 30 years of industry experience, our client has built a reputation for delivering complex infrastructure projects.
They take pride in delivering their projects safely, with minimal or no environmental impacts, and with respect for local communities.
Undertaking this 12-month traineeshipwill give you the opportunity to put theory into practice, complete a BSB30120 Certificate III in Business, and gain valuable experience in the workplace to set you up for a successful business career.
Job Details
We are looking for someone who can efficiently and effectively provide various administrative support to the plant maintenance team.
No two days are the same.
Expect a fast-paced, engaging environment where your attention to detail and enthusiastic, can-do attitude will really shine.
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Support day-to-day administrative operations across the team
- Assist with scheduling project meetings, events and related logistics
- Accurately complete data entry, stock orders, and assist with the preparation of documents
- Assist with various administrative tasks and special projects as assigned
- Perform duties and responsibilities as directed by the supervisor
Hours: Monday to Friday Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

About You
We are seeking a dynamic and well-presented individual with a genuine interest in building a career in business administration.
You thrive in team environments, bring a positive and approachable attitude, and are comfortable managing multiple tasks at once.
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Hold a current driver’s licence
- Have experience in using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word and Outlook)
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative and team-focused approach
- Be a proactive team player with the ability to take initiative and work independently when required
- Have attention to detail skills
- Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical, Drug and Alcohol Screen, and Police Check
