Key Responsibilities
To promote physical activity, wellbeing and healthy lifestyle habits from an early age and encourage healthy choices relating to nutrition, hygiene, safety and emotional wellbeing.
The role should seek to develop teamwork, cooperation and fair play through games and group activities, as well as developing our students 0skills and abilities.
This is a chance to make a meaningful impact, as part of a supportive and dedicated team, teaching foundational movement skills, fostering teamwork and inspiring a love of physical activity in young learners.
Duties
- Plan and deliver Health and Physical Education lessons to Primary students, creating a stimulating and supportive classroom environment.
- Prepare and implement effective assessments to track and report on student progress.
- Differentiate lessons to meet the diverse needs of our students, ensuring all learners are supported and challenged.
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians and colleagues regarding student progress.
- Plan and organise Primary School interhouse sporting carnivals, and attendance at community and regional interschool carnivals.
- A commitment to Regulatory Requirements and the School 0s Ethos and Operation.
- Participate in school events, co-curricular activities and career development.
Essential Requirements
- Current registration with the WA Teachers Registration Board
- Knowledge and experience of the WA Health and Physical Education Curriculum.
Desirable Requirements
- Experience teaching Health and Physical Education at Primary levels.
- Experience organising sporting carnivals.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Evidence of providing a differentiated curriculum.
- Willingness to contribute to wider school programs, including co-curricular, camps or other school-based activities.
- Bus License and Passenger Transport Authorisation, or willingness to achieve.
Relevant qualification and experiences will be accepted.
