Overview
Rotafab is a fabrication and machining business servicing multiple clients across oil and gas, energy, and marine industries. Rotafab employs 60 to 65 full time and casual employees, with three departments: welding fabrication and pipe spooling; machine shop and mechanical equipment repair; and industrial coating and abrasive blasting services. Each department has supervision and shop floor foremen, a dedicated quality control and human resources function, through to administration and senior management. We pride ourselves on our exceptional quality and ability to meet our clients’ needs and timelines.
We are seeking hard working & enthusiastic team members for the position of Pressure Pipe Welders and Pipe Fitters to join our Spooling team at our Wurruk facility.
Role
Read and understand technical drawings, fabricate and fit up pipe spooling to shop drawings, weld to Rotafab qualified and approved procedures (including carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex, and copper nickel as required), ensure completion of required weld and material traceability information, contribute to the safety of employees and property, and reduce environmental impacts.
This is a casual position, with regular overtime available but not mandatory.
Responsibilities
Fitting up spools to supplied isometric drawing – Pipe fitters
Completing welds to Rotafab qualified & approved procedures – Welders
Completion of weld and material traceability information
Use of hand tools and mobile lifting aids
Maintaining a secure and clean working environment
Requirements
Boilermaker/Welder Trade Qualification
Driver’s license
Ability to understand technical drawings – Pipe Fitters
Pressure pipe welding experience with TIG, STICK, STT/FLUX – Welders
Pipe fitting experience – Pipe fitters
Experience working with all various piping materials (carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex, copper nickel) – Welders
Forklift license – Desired
Oil & gas industry – Desired
