Fortescue's Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.Roster: Monday to FridayFortescue is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to support the safe, compliant and efficient operation of our electricity network.Reporting to the Principal Engineer – Power System Connections, Standards & Assurance, this role is responsible for ensuring all connections to the Fortescue network meet regulatory and technical requirements. You will play a key role in maintaining and improving standards, processes and systems that support the safe and reliable generation, transmission and distribution of electricity across the network.This position offers the opportunity to work across a diverse and evolving energy portfolio, supporting both operational excellence and future network growth.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide engineering advice and support for transmission and primary distribution networks, generation and protection systemsSupport development and continuous improvement of transmission and distribution safety rules and standardsDevelop and maintain network isolation systems and procedures, including remote operationsSupport integration of isolation systems with operational technology and control room practicesDevelop and maintain connection process documentation, standards and proceduresReview and approve HV submissions for connection or modification of network assetsEnsure compliance with technical rules across existing and new infrastructureMonitor and report on network power quality performanceProvide technical support to internal and external stakeholders connecting to the Fortescue networkContribute to capital and operational improvement initiatives across the networkQualifications And ExperienceElectrical Engineering degreeMinimum 5–7 years' experience in power systems, transmission or distribution environmentsStrong knowledge of HV networks, protection systems and electrical standardsExperience with connection processes, commissioning and energisation proceduresStrong understanding of regulatory and technical compliance requirementsExcellent stakeholder engagement and communication skillsAbility to contribute to process improvement and technical standard developmentAbout Us Be part of something big.
