Full time, fixed term until 30th June 2027 Drive key engagement opportunities and increase capability within the semiconductor sector Base Salary $146,197 - $154,260 17% superannuation About the team The Semiconductor Sector Service Bureau (S3B) is committed to the development of semiconductor capability in New South Wales and will work with local high-tech companies to stimulate innovation and growth across the emerging semiconductor ecosystem. A joint venture between The University of Sydney, Macquarie University and UNSW, and partnering with CSIRO, the Australian National Fabrication Facility (ANFF), and companies across the Australian semiconductor industry, S3B develops networks and facilitates access to supply chain capability, training and market intelligence. About the opportunity As the Manager, Technical Partnerships, you will play a pivotal role in advancing opportunities in semiconductor fabrication, electronics, and quantum research by engaging with key stakeholders across industry, academia, and government. You will provide strategic guidance to S3B on their engagement with the NSW Government’s Advanced Manufacturing Research Facility (AMRF), and offer expert advice on industry-relevant capability development. In this role, you will promote S3B services, identify emerging sector needs, and contribute to national sector mapping, strategy development, and recommendations for sustainable business models and revenue opportunities. This role requires flexibility for interstate travel several times a year and occasional international travel. Your key responsibilities will be to: Work with a dynamic team, reporting to the Director, S3B manages strategic relationships with university, industry, and government to identify opportunities and build the Australian semiconductor ecosystem provides expert technical and strategic advice to support S3B’s strategy implementation, including developing proposals and business cases drives business development by identifying new revenue opportunities, increasing service uptake, and supporting translation of research to industry guides S3B and stakeholders in the development and engagement strategy for AMRF, including advising on design, procurement, and stakeholder needs represents S3B at meetings and events, promoting technical capabilities and supporting sector engagement across government, industry, and academia undertakes ad-hoc projects and contributes to continuous improvement and performance of S3B initiatives and partnerships. About you postgraduate qualifications and/or relevant work experience in a related field demonstrated knowledge and understanding of industry sectors such as Advanced Manufacturing, Defence, MedTech, Telecoms, ICT demonstrated knowledge of current semiconductor manufacturing processes and ability to recognise and articulate manufacturing and packaging trends ability to work as part of a professional team, both collaboratively and independently with minimal supervision experience at a senior level in the preparation and provision of responsive, clear, and concise specialist advice, recommendations, and solutions both verbally and in writing ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships with key stakeholders and industry partners.
