What you will doAs our Facilities Manager (Southern,) you will: - Lead a team to deliver consistent processes and procedures across facility management and operations, including Workplace Health and Safety (WH&S;) and Information Communications Technology (ICT). Identify, respond to and or coordinate services ensuring that state-wide consistency occurs and solutions to issues address any implications that may affect other processes, critical arrangements and commitments. Provide high level team leadership, strategic direction, support, performance appraisal and mentorship to the Customer and Business Services employees within the designated operational facilities. Proactively engage with the various internal and external stakeholders to ensure resources are always effectively and efficiently provided and that services are maintained to high standard. Actively participate in strategic and operational planning for designated facilities across the state. Provide high level advice and actively contribute to business planning processes, setting of capital works priorities, submissions for facility assets and budget development, monitoring and reporting. Develop, implement and effectively communicate risk management and contingency processes and procedures that comply with relative statutory and corporate compliance obligations. Plan, manage and deliver outcomes for business improvement projects. Foster an environment that values performance, customer service, continuous improvement, open communication and innovation in the delivery of quality services. Provide capacity and continuity planning for the designated operational facilities and undertake effective change management processes as required. Prepare and present documents, reports and briefing papers that influence and contribute to decision making processes for the facilities. Represent the department at various stakeholder meetings and government fora and undertake projects and other activities as required.What you will bring
