Key Responsibilities
* Design and Documentation: Lead the design and documentation of digital mining products, including CAD models, circuit diagrams, and PCB layouts.
* Research and Development: Research and develop prototypes to validate fit, form, and function, and perform simulations and analyses such as FEA, thermal, vibrational, and control systems.
* Testing and Validation: Develop comprehensive testing and validation procedures to assess performance, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
* Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership across the full lifecycle of digital systems from conceptualisation and development to integration and enhancement.
Requirements
* A bachelor's or honours degree in mechatronics engineering is essential.
* Experience in the mining sector (preferably within excavators and dump trucks) is required.
* Experience deploying systems within the mining sector and/or similar harsh environments is necessary.
* Demonstrable experience in electronics design and analysis, including circuit simulation, PCB design, and/or circuit troubleshooting, is expected.
