Job Description
Due to a healthy pipeline of work, our Buildings & Places group are looking for a Structural Engineer to join their team, based in Sydney.
You will be given the opportunity to work closely with a team of specialists to develop your structural engineering knowledge and design skills on a range of local, regional and inter-state projects.
How you'll make a difference:
* Design and analyse buildings and other related structures to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards and regulations.
* Liaise with contractors, architects and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with design and construction requirements. Provide technical advice and guidance to clients and other stakeholders.
* Assist with reviewing drawings and calculations prepared by other engineers.
* Monitor project progress and coordinate with other stakeholders to ensure timely completion.
Qualifications
The following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don't tick all the boxes you could still be a perfect fit for this role. Please apply, all applications will be considered.
* Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with 4+ years' consultancy experience in the design and analysis of buildings with demonstrated understanding of Australian codes, standards and regulations.
* Sound knowledge in structural calculations, drawings, specifications and other documents for design, construction and related activities.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills both internally, and externally to develop and maintain a strong working relationship with clients, contractors, consultants and other stakeholders.
* Exposure to industry standard software Spacegass, ETABS, RAM Concept, Rapt.
* This role requires you to be an Australian Citizen
