ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a Full‐Time position. As Head Chef you will be in charge of:
* Menu planning, design, costings and stocktaking
* Menu preparation, ensuring that standard recipes are followed to ensure consistency
* Creation of weekly specials
* Cooking and presenting food
* Implementing multiple cooking procedures
* Monitoring food quality
* Management of cleanliness within the kitchen applying workplace safety and hygiene procedures
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
* Relevant Diploma qualification plus at least 3 years' work experience in the same occupation or closely related.
* Proven experience with menu development, costings and ordering.
* Understanding of product, culinary techniques and kitchen equipment.
* Contributing new ideas that may improve customer service or department operations.
* Excellent team player.
* Strong communication and people management skills, with grace under pressure.
* Passionate about food and people, with a can‐do friendly attitude.
Job Type: Full‐time. Salary: $76,000-80,000 per year.
