Site Manager - fitout and refurb, top end salary on offer DOE
With over twenty years in the industry, our client is one of the most reputable fit‑out and new build contractors in Western Australia. Working on a refurb and fit‑out project just SOR circa 8m, this will be your first of many projects. Most of their projects are valued at $5‑$20m, so larger scale fit‑out projects will also be a definite opportunity for this individual. They pride themselves on being a builder who is trusted by their clients through honesty, integrity and transparency at all stages of the construction process. The strongest asset is their people: they engage those who want to be part of the journey long term, provide training at all levels, and promote from within. They maintain a great core of reliable trades and treat subcontractors as part of the team with no excuses for late payment.
You will be responsible for:
* Ensuring the work is completed on time, to budget and to a high quality
* Managing Site Health & Safety – a strong safety focus is key
* Managing subcontractors and their performance
* Producing site diaries and progress reports
* Attending and chairing some management and progress meetings
* Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of the fit‑out, refurb and new build construction market
* Having strong knowledge of standard forms of contract
* Working effectively in a team environment
You will have:
* A strong construction site management experience in commercial building, with direct fit‑out and refurbishment experience
* Extensive knowledge of building regulations and codes in Australia
* Leadership and management experience
* The ability to work to and meet deadlines
* Implementation of all aspects of health & safety
* Well‑organised, enthusiastic, motivated, honest, with a high level of integrity
