Clinical Nurse Educator – Early Career Support

* Northern Adelaide Local Health Network – Modbury Hospital – Modbury- Palliative Care and Geriatrics Inpatient Units
* Salary: $87,416 - $110,497 per annum, plus Superannuation and Salary Sacrifice benefits
* RN2C – Temporary Full-Time – up to 26 June 2026

Join SA Health as a Clinical Nurse Educator – Early Career Support at Modbury Hospital, where you will make a meaningful difference in shaping the next generation of nursing professionals. This full‑time, short‑term contract position offers an exceptional opportunity to advance your career while supporting newly graduated nurses in their professional journey.

Join NALHN's Aged Care, Rehabilitation and Palliative Care Division and make a lasting impact by supporting early‑career nurses to thrive in their practice. This role will be based in Palliative Care and Geriatrics Inpatient Units.


About the Role

1. Provide clinical teaching, orientation and mentorship to new graduates and less experienced staff.
2. Support the Nurse Unit Manager and Educators in creating a positive learning culture.
3. Assist with competency development, goal setting, and portfolio maintenance.
4. Contribute to quality improvement, research, and evidence‑based practice initiatives.
5. Design and deliver evidence‑based educational content and training sessions.
6. Support clinical skill development and competency assessments.
7. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance learning outcomes.
8. Monitor and evaluate educational program effectiveness.
* Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate, and have at least 3 years (full‑time equivalent) post‑registration experience.

Are you an experienced nurse who loves teaching, mentoring, and supporting others to grow?

In this role you will have strong interpersonal and communication skills which will enable you to successfully problem solve, resolve conflicts and negotiate, including the ability to engage in difficult conversations, whilst building and maintaining relationships. An ability to effectively manage multiple, diverse and competing priorities and demonstrated resilience within a stressful and complex environment is essential to this role.
