Brine Street Early Learning Centre is excited to announce a rare opportunity to join the team at Brine Street in Hughesdale. Brine Street Early Learning Centre is the only Council owned and managed Child Care Centre within the City of Monash. We are a centre committed to excellence and have been rated under the National Quality Standards (NQS) as exceeding the National Quality Standards.
About the Position
We are seeking Diploma qualified educator to lead a room within our Long Day Care setting. Brine street Early Learning Centre caters for 67 children each day. We have 5 rooms at the service and 3 separate yards. The successful applicant will be well supported and resourced through collaboration with experienced, enthusiastic and highly qualified co-workers.
Skills and Experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
A commitment to using a strength-based, family centered approach to deliver an education and care program appropriate to the individual needs of children and families
Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and motivate staff and to work as part of a team
Demonstrated ability to plan, implement and evaluate high quality, flexible and innovative educational program for all children aged 6 weeks to six years old
Capacity to provide a safe, sustainable and attractive environment for children
**Requirements**:
At least a Diploma of Children's services or equivalent
At least one year of work experience as an Early Childhood Educator Room leader (preferred)
Current First Aid Certificates for an early year's education and care setting
Strong understanding of the Victorian Early Years Learning & Development Framework (VEYLDF), National Quality Standard (NQS) and National Quality Framework (NQF)
Satisfactory National Police Check
