* Total Indicative Remuneration: MD-2 $430,672 - $597,154 p.a. (pro-rata)
* Temporary Part-Time appointment available (working 33.75 hours per week, up to 28/5/2023), over a 7 day roster
Joining the team at Mount Gambier & District Health Service, the ED Consultant will oversee all aspects of safe, efficient, patient-centred medical care within the Emergency Department setting and provide clinical leadership within the wider hospital community. Responsibilities include policy formulation and implementation, human resource management, and collaboration with medical and nursing colleagues. The role involves applying contemporary ED care processes, such as fast-tracking patients, nurse-initiated strategies, and nurse practitioner-led clinics. The ED Consultant will also supervise junior clinical staff and participate in relevant meetings and staff development activities.
