OnTalent is thrilled to partner with a prominent sports and leisure facilities organisation based in Queensland. Our client, known for managing and operating state-of-the-art venues, is seeking a talented Human Resources Officer to join their team on a 6-month temporary basis.
**The Role**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provide high-level advice on HR matters, including performance management, recruitment, and HR policies.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and monitoring of HR policies and processes.
- Undertake effective job analysis, design, position description development, and job evaluation services.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to key HR projects, initiatives, and organizational change efforts.
- Case manage workers' compensation, rehabilitation, and return-to-work processes.
- Provide specialist advice and support on HR initiatives, Enterprise Agreement, Award, legislation, policies, procedures, and practices.
**Requirements**:
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in HR within the public or private sector.
- High-level knowledge and experience in general HR practices, with a focus on recruitment, selection, and performance management.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience in working within a collaborative team environment. Knowledge of and experience in workforce planning and succession planning
**Key Skills and Attributes**:
- Previous government or statutory authority experience to understand government processes and provide advice, especially in recruitment.
- Ability to engage with diverse individuals and provide strong customer service.
- Familiarity with HRIS, particularly Orion, is advantageous but not essential.
